Draft project Competition for the Faculty of Civil Engineering. University of La Coruña..

The building is implemented considering how it would relate to the rest of campus in the future. We project a horizontal plane on which three prisms form a square, a socket under which the laboratories, allowing for the internal communication of the three parts (faculty, lecture hall and café). In the dominant volume, a gallery constitutes the communication and meeting place, where the stairs are the key element of this space (a sculpture in a glass box). The gallery opens towards the plaza, connecting the inside and the outside of the building. We pick up on the classical concept of agora or forum, where human relations take place both inside and outside of the buildings.
